1. About these terms
Lumen Global Sourcing is operated by Lumenus LLC, doing business as “Lumen Global Sourcing” (“Lumen Global Sourcing”, “we”, “us” or “our”). These terms apply to our website and web application (together, the “service”). “Customer”, “you” and “your” mean the company or organization that signs up for the service, and “users” means the people it allows to use its account.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Data Processing Addendum applies to personal data in documents you submit. Both form part of these terms.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, clicking to accept, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you have signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms.
3. The service
Lumen Global Sourcing lets you submit documents (PDF, JPG or PNG) by uploading them in the application or forwarding them by email. The document is read through Anthropic's commercial API, which returns the fields it read. The results are stored so your users can review, correct and approve them, and export them. We handle logistics documents: commercial invoices, packing lists and bills of lading.
We may improve, change or discontinue features of the service over time.
4. Accounts and seats
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- Your plan includes a number of seats. Each seat is for one named person and may not be shared.
- Account admins control who has access and what role each user has (for example, admin or operator). You are responsible for your users and for everything done through your account.
- Tell us promptly at hello@lumenglobalsourcing.com if you believe your account has been used without permission.
5. Acceptable use
You and your users must not:
- upload, forward or send any content that is unlawful, or use the service for any unlawful purpose;
- submit documents or personal data that you do not have the right to process, or that you have not given any notices or obtained any consents for that the law requires;
- use the service to send unsolicited, bulk or spam messages, or approve outbound emails to people you have no legitimate reason to contact;
- reverse engineer, decompile, copy or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the service, except where the law expressly permits it;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the service, including by exceeding reasonable request rates, or try to get around plan limits, security or access controls;
- try to access another customer's data or any part of the service you are not authorized to use;
- upload malware or anything designed to harm systems or data;
- resell or provide the service to third parties unless we agree in writing.
We may suspend access, or remove content, if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken or the service or other customers are at risk.
6. Your data
You own your documents and the data extracted from them (“customer data”). You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit and display customer data only as needed to provide, secure and support the service for you, and to meet our legal obligations. This includes sending document text to our service providers, such as Anthropic, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use customer documents to train AI models, and we do not sell customer data. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the customer data you submit and for having the rights needed for us to process it.

If you send us feedback or suggestions about the service, we may use them without any obligation to you.
7. AI output and human review
The service uses AI to read and extract data, and AI output can be wrong. Every field has a confidence score and anything doubtful is flagged, but flags will not catch every error. You are responsible for reviewing and approving data before you rely on it, export it, send it to another system, or send it to anyone else. Extracted data is not legal, tax, accounting or insurance advice.
8. Outbound emails need your approval
When information is missing, the service can draft requests to your suppliers, vendors or other counterparties. No email is sent to anyone outside your company unless a person at your company approves that specific email. Internal requests notify your own teammates inside the app. You are responsible for the emails you approve, including their content, their recipients and compliance with laws that apply to them.
9. Credentials
- You are responsible for all activity under your users' logins and your integration connections. Tell us promptly if you think a credential has been exposed.
10. Plans, fees and limits
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance, through Stripe.
- Each plan includes monthly document limits for each document pack and a number of seats. We may stop processing documents in a pack once its monthly limit is reached until the limit resets or you move to a plan with a higher limit.
- By providing a payment method, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge it for your plan on each renewal until you cancel.
- Fees do not include taxes unless we say so. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income.
- We may change our prices. Changes apply from your next billing period after we tell you about them.

11. Failed payments
If a payment fails, there is a 7-day grace period to fix it. If payment still has not succeeded after that, uploads, email-in and the API are paused until payment succeeds. While paused, your existing documents stay available to review and export.
12. Cancellation
You can cancel your paid plan at any time. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. During early access, pricing is agreed with you directly.
13. Third-party services
Some features rely on services we do not control. Documents you upload are read through Anthropic's API, and payments are processed by Stripe. The services that handle customer data are listed in our Data Processing Addendum. Other integrations, such as a connected store, run only if you choose to connect them. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Once data reaches a third-party service, that service's own terms govern how it is handled. 14. Our intellectual property
We and our licensors own the service, including its software, design and documentation. Subject to these terms, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business purposes while your account is active. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
15. Availability and disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not commit to any particular uptime or availability unless we agree to it in a separate written agreement signed by us.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that extracted data will be accurate or complete.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if it was told they were possible;
- each party's total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will not exceed [Liability cap to be confirmed].
These limits do not apply to [Exclusions from the liability cap to be confirmed], or to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
17. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Lumenus LLC and its officers, employees and contractors against third-party claims, and the resulting losses, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees), that arise from customer data you submit, emails you approve, your use of the service in breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
18. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the service and cancel at any time, as described in section 12.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or if your use creates a security or legal risk to the service or others. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those on your data, fees owed, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “last updated” date. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify account admins before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
20. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law to be confirmed], without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in [Courts and venue to be confirmed], and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
21. General
- You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it.
- Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Addendum and any order or plan you select, are the entire agreement between us about the service.
